Key chains

This is a prototype that I made:

It's supposed to be a snake coiled up, you know, those tree snakes that drape themselves on branches?? (go search if you don't know.)

Lols. I hope you can tell. XD

My friend made me the cross stitch above, it means love (sarang) in Korean. Recently, my brother has started learning Korean, and he has figured out our Korean names (of course they don't mean anything, it's just phonics so far). The orange cross-stitch is my name, Joyce, and is pronounced as.........well....joh-is. Lols much. (I hope I made it correctly. XD)

Hair accessories

These are some very simple hair clips that I made. It only took about 15-mins to make one.

You can easily find tutorials for the flower hair clips online. The bows are easy too!

Clasp purse

Some time ago, after going to an art flea market with my mom, I saw this stall selling clasp purses of different shapes and sizes...dont ask me why) but I found them really cute. ^^''' so I decided to try my hand at it.... at the same time, I do need a bag that is small enough to carry just my handphone and wallet cause I don't usually bring lots of stuff out.

Here's the completed purse! :D The bad itself is pretty easy to make, but it is rather hard to attach the clasp and straps. I actually broke a needle trying to sew on the straps. >< I would have gotten the king of clasp that allows you need to sew on it, but this one's cheaper. XD

I used felt for the lining so that I wouldn't have to waste batting on the bag.. (the batting is pretty expensive too!)

Skull-print Barrette

When I went fabric hunting with my mom the other day, we saw this really cute skull-print quilting fabric, and we had to buy it.

I managed to get some left over scraps and I made this barrette with it:

It's really easy to make, just get some batting and sew the fabric around it and attach it to the clip and....voila!

(Yep, I can find all sorts of crazy stuff to do with left over scraps of fabric ;) )

More Fan art...

Okay. I'm the sort of person who doesn't idolize stuff so, naturally, I don't usually fangirl over stuff..
Except for Studio Ghibli animations. XD hahas. I've been watching them since I was really young, and i still love them now. ^^

I just recently watched Howl's Moving Castle, and it is AWESOME. :D

Here I made Calcifer:

And I made this little charm for fun with left over scraps of felt:

Hayao Miyazaki Films Fan Art

I'm a big fan of Mr. Hayao Miyazaki's films. :) I've watched Laputa Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, Nausicaa of the Valley f the Wind, Arietty, Princess Mononoke and much more.. ^^ They're really really nice to watch.

So here, I found some scraps of canvas and an empty spool and so I decided to make a montage of my favorite animations.

This is the draft:

(Heh. yeah. I was testing my pen to see if it works. ^^''')

And then, I spent a long time copying it out on canvas.

Yeah.. it's really small so....not much details.
(Not that I can draw very well. XD)
I have used characters from Spirited away, Laputa, The Cat Returns, Totoro and Howl's Moving castle.

From Spirited away, we have Chihiro, Haku (both in human form and in his dragon form)...

No Face, also from spirited away... (Sorry if the pic isn't clear! ><)

...The robot from Laputa, and the small white totoro from My Neighbor Totoro and Calcifer from Howl's Moving Castle. Further down is Muta from The Cat Returns.. but he's half covered by the canvas... :( sad. (Need to work on measurement!)

Skull necklace

Recently, we bought skull-printed fabric, which is really cool. I took the leftovers and cut out one of the skulls and made this necklace. :)

Cool eh? :) Hahas. Hope y'all like it too...
